DESCRIPTION:As the voice of Acheson\, the ABA collaborates with government officials\, the county\, and surrounding cities to align on key issues to the community. A town hall is an excellent chance to get answers when you have questions that you want to ask your elected officials. \n\n \n\nOur honorable guests and speakers will be:\n\n Mayor Allan Gamble\, Parkland County\n Councillor Kristina Kowalski\, Division 2\, Parkland County \n\n \n\nFollowing a successful stakeholder engagement campaign\, the ABA has identified 4 critical issues for our members in Acheson. Join us for a moderated event to discuss the top issues in Acheson. \n\n \n\nIdentified key issues:\n\n\n Labour & Employment\n\n \n Up to 65% of Acheson members report that they are understaffed\n \n \n Internet\n \n Poor and inconsistent internet. Access to fiber at a premium cost and at the user's expense.\n \n \n Infrastructure\n \n Road services\, maintenance\, and upgrades. Safety issues\, accidents\, and heavy traffic loads. \n \n \n Government & Taxes\n \n Taxes and utility fees as non-voters. Government support on civic\, provincial\, and federal levels.\n \n \n\n\nSend in your questions: \n\nPlease send all your question for the Mayor & Councillor to jfulford@achesonbusiness.com\n\n\n\nCovid precautions: \n\nWe will be following current Alberta Covid precautions at the time of the event. We are prepared to move this to a virtual event if Covid gathering restrictions prevent gatherings. The event would adapt to a live stream the Mayor and moderator at Supreme Steel and take questions online. We would reduce the time of the event to 1 hour.
