Description
Strong business communication skills are essential in today's corporate environments. A lack of these can lead to confusion, uncertainty, and frustration, and can weaken, test, or end business relationships. This course invites exploration of approaches to the delivery of information that enable effective business relationship management. You will practice effective ways to initiate and respond to verbal and written communications. You will consider the relevance of knowing your audience so that the presentations you design and deliver, as well as the messages you share through emails and letters, reflect active listening skills, awareness, and the intentional creation of an appropriate form of communication that meets the needs of both parties.
This course is part of the Business Fundamentals Certificate offered by NAIT, which was created so that participants can gain practical, fundamental skills in a variety of business areas. Courses incorporate discussions, individual exercises, lectures, case studies, videos and group work to give participants the best opportunities for learning not only what to do but how to do it well. We want your employees to walk away with strategies they can use in the workplace right away.
Through the NAIT and Acheson Business Association partnerships, participants will have the opportunity to earn up to 76 course hours towards a Business Fundamentals Certificate (150 course hours in total is required. Visit nait.ca/BusinessFundamentals for information regarding elective courses.)
Customize your experience by choosing courses that suit the organizational learning needs within your company and make choices that support your personal and professional growth plans. Courses will be offered at the new NAIT Spruce Grove Campus.
