Leadership for Safety Excellence Course

Description

As of June 1, 2018 worksites are now mandated to have a Health & Safety Committee or Health & Safety Representative depending on size. Many owners, employers, and other work site parties will be required to take active steps to comply with the new legislation.

If your worksite has 5-19 workers you are required to have a H&S representative. If your worksite has 20+ workers you are required to have a H&S committee with 2 co-chairs (worker level and manager level).

One of the requirements of the new legislation is for the Co-chairs and Representative to complete the MANDATORY Part 2: Health & Safety Committees/Representatives training.

The prerequisite is Part 1: Worksite Health & Safety Committees/Representatives Training which is available free online through CCOHS. For registration visit the CCOHS website.

Part 2: Worksite Health & Safety Committees/Reps Training is a one day in class seminar and will take place on:

• Price: $189 + GST

1. Create your own account on the AHSA website. Visit AHSA.ca and click on ‘Register’ at the top of the page. Choose Acheson Business Association from the ‘Company’ drop down and proceed with your other details. Please note that a unique email address is required as your email is used as your login.

3. Click here to view the course listing. You'll be able to add the course to your cart and complete the registration. Payments can be made via credit card.
