2026 Acheson Business Association Board of Director Nominations
The Acheson Business Association is a membership-driven organization governed by a Board of Directors. Our actions and goals are guided and supported by our four pillars: Connectivity, Visibility, Education, and Development.
Serving as an Acheson Business Association Director is an opportunity to help further the continued growth, development, and strength of the Acheson Industrial Park.
ABA members in good standing who would like to contribute to the strategic direction and make an impact on the Association and the Acheson business community are invited to stand for election to our Board of Directors.
We currently have two Director positions open for Acheson-based members.
Eligibility Criteria:
• Member in good standing with the ABA
• Nominated by an ABA member in good standing
What qualities make a good candidate for the Board?
• Acts in the best interest of the Association and its members
• Strategic thinker
• Collaborative spirit and relationship builder
• Represents a variety of backgrounds, skills, and perspectives
• Passionate about growing Acheson
• Demonstrated experience or proficiency in one or more of the following: business development, strategic planning, and government relations and advocacy
Board Responsibilities:
The Board of Directors is responsible for ABA's stewardship and oversight of its management. They provide strategic leadership and determine the organization's vision, mission, and priorities. The Board is accountable to the membership and to those who provide funds for the organization's operation.
Role Commitments:
• Attend six Board meetings throughout the year, as well as the Annual General Meeting
• Act as a champion for the ABA and Acheson and promote its work in the business community
• Develop policy frameworks
• Participate in and attend ABA special events
• Ensure the organization's financial viability and sustainability
Director Term: 3 Years
As a Board, we embrace diversity and inclusion and are committed to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills.
All eligible candidates meeting the criteria are asked to submit an expression of interest by January 30th 2026.
All names will then go to the nominating committee, which will determine which are presented to the membership at the AGM.
