Description
As the voice of Acheson, the ABA collaborates with government officials, the county, and surrounding cities to align on key issues to the community. A town hall is an excellent chance to get answers when you have questions that you want to ask your elected officials.
Our honorable guests and speakers will be:
- Mayor Allan Gamble, Parkland County
- Councillor Kristina Kowalski, Division 2, Parkland County
Following a successful stakeholder engagement campaign, the ABA has identified 4 critical issues for our members in Acheson. Join us for a moderated event to discuss the top issues in Acheson.
Identified key issues:
- Labour & Employment
- Up to 65% of Acheson members report that they are understaffed
- Internet
- Poor and inconsistent internet. Access to fiber at a premium cost and at the user's expense.
- Infrastructure
- Road services, maintenance, and upgrades. Safety issues, accidents, and heavy traffic loads.
- Government & Taxes
- Taxes and utility fees as non-voters. Government support on civic, provincial, and federal levels.
Please send all your question for the Mayor & Councillor to jfulford@achesonbusiness.com
Covid precautions:
We will be following current Alberta Covid precautions at the time of the event. We are prepared to move this to a virtual event if Covid gathering restrictions prevent gatherings. The event would adapt to a live stream the Mayor and moderator at Supreme Steel and take questions online. We would reduce the time of the event to 1 hour.
