General Labourer

Northgate Industries Ltd. is seeking a reliable and physically capable General Labourer to join our team. Under the direction and leadership of the Service Department, the General Laborer assumes responsibility for all manual laborer tasks, including loading, unloading, moving materials, and assisting skilled tradespeople as needed. They will ensure work tasks are performed safely in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety Legislation and company policies and that work is performed with a high level of quality and timeliness.

Responsibilities:

• Move and Gather Materials: Loading, unloading, and transporting materials manually or with equipment.
• Move Furniture.
• Following Instruction: Receiving and carrying out instructions from supervisors, tradespeople and other workers.
• Use hand and power tools.
• General Maintenance: cleaning and maintaining tools, equipment, and work areas.
• Site Preparation: Cleaning up debris and preparing the work area.
• Ensuring Safety: Maintaining a safe work environment by adhering to safety guidelines and protocols.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Previous Laborer experience
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects.
• Ability to take direction and follow through on instructions.
• General construction safety knowledge.
• Committed dedication to safety; reflected in practice and experience
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently in a demanding environment
• Ability to work effectively with others in a team setting.

• Ability to stand, walk, crouch, and kneel for long periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 25kg
