Job Summary
Northgate Industries Ltd is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Service Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing and related trades, demonstrating proficiency in various mechanical and construction tasks. This role requires an individual who can be successful in troubleshooting, installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems. A successful Plumber will possess excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The role may also require the employee to travel to and perform repairs as described above at a variety of sites, as well as in our service and renovation shop.

Requirements

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine plumbing layouts.
• Always be safety conscientious and have a clean safety record.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various plumbing tasks.
• You must have a strong base of computer knowledge and skills.
• Strong organizational skills are a necessity.
• Perform heavy lifting as required for installations or repairs.
• Must be self-sufficient, and able to work with little-to-no supervision.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and HVAC technicians, to complete projects efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes and safety regulations during all work activities.

• Proven experience in plumbing or a related field is required, with the proven ability to accurately assess and carry out repairs.
• Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various systems, such as furnace components and diagnostic requirements.
• Self driven team player.
• Journeyman level knowledge of plumbing and gas systems.
• Must have a valid drivers license with a clean drivers abstract.
• HS&E commitment.
• Capability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the workday.

• Plumbing: 5 years (preferred)
